FAQ

A basketball prep school combines a full high school curriculum with an elite-level basketball training program. Unlike a regular high school, the entire schedule — classes, practices, strength training, and film sessions — is built around athlete development. Polaris Prep Basketball Academy is one of Canada's top prep school programs, based in Burlington, Ontario.

Our coaching staff has direct relationships with NCAA, U SPORTS, and NAIA programs across North America. We build recruiting profiles for every player, run showcases and tournaments with college scouts in attendance, and guide athletes through the full recruitment process — from highlight film to official visits.

Yes. In partnership with Dr. Frank J Hayden Secondary School — part of the Halton District School Board in Burlington, Ontario — every Polaris Prep athlete earns credits toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Our staff works directly with Hayden leadership to build a course schedule that works around training without compromising academic standards.

Polaris Prep welcomes players across a range of skill levels. We run multiple teams built around different abilities, so whether you are an emerging player developing your game or an advanced athlete chasing a college scholarship, there is a place for you. What we look for in every player is coachability, commitment to academics, and a genuine drive to improve.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The best first step is to fill out our recruiting form on the Contact page — submit your stats, game film, and coach contact. Our staff reviews every submission. You can also reach us directly at polarisprepacademy@gmail.com.
